For day four of BLOG-cember I decide a little get to know me would be a great idea, since I have never really given too much about me for the few readers who do not know me personally. These are mostly geared toward's beauty but will help give you a better idea of who I really am.
1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
I have very frizzy hair that is kinda wavy but the older I get the curlier it gets.
2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
It really just depends on my mood and bank account, I prefer to go to the salon and have my hair done but I am also quite the bathroom hairdresser. When I dye my hair red typically I do it myself for the simple fact that I have to re-dye so often that it would be outrageous to go to the salon everytime my color needed to be refreshed. However anything involving straight bleach I leave to the professionals.
3. Do you wear the same hair style everyday, or do you change it?
I typically get into a groove and wear my hair the same way for a few weeks. Sometimes I wear it straight everyday, and other times I really like curling my hair. This also depends on the time of year, during the summer it is usually so hot that I cant stand to have a hot styling tool around my face and neck for very long so I wear a lot of ponytails with just a few loose curls when I want to dress it up. However once the weather starts cooling down I start to break out the styling tools again. Lately I have been loving my new Kiss curling iron which I will be reviewing/demo in a the coming weeks.
4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
Like most women I love to feel papered and going to the salon is always nice, but more often than not I just do my mani and pedi's at home, lord knows I have enough nail polish to open a salon.
5. How often do you change your nail polish?
When I keep up with it I usually like to change it every couple of days as I am hard on my nails so the polish chips pretty quickly. But if we are being honest I go through phases, sometimes I just don't like my nails so I don't feel like painting them. It is a hassle trying to grow my nails which can make it not so fun to paint my nails regularly.
6. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer?
I keep my toes painted all year long. Polish stays on them much longer than it does on my finger nails so I only have to re-do my toes once month, unless I feel like changing the color.
7. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?
Depends on the occasion, everyday application takes anywhere from 10-30 minutes. While for special occasions I can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour or more.
8. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
Generally I do my face makeup first and then my eyes.The only time I switch it up is when I am using glitter or dark shadows that are prone to fallout on the eyes.
9. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I like to think it is somewhere in between. While I love having variety I also want to use what I own.
10. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Maybe a couple times a month, generally I save them for special occasions, however lately I have found a couple of styles that are comfortable and natural enough that I have been wearing them more regularly.
11. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?
No. I would say just about everyday but there are always a few days a week that I go natural. Its nice to let the skin breathe every now and then
12. Do you wear makeup when you're home alone or with family?
Sometimes, but normally if I do it is because I intended to go out or I was just playing around with makeup.
13. Will you leave the house without makeup?
Yep. It has gotten easier the older I have gotten, mostly because I have just learned not to care what others think. I may not have perfect skin but really who does?
14. How many high-end products do you have?
More than I care to admit.
15. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you're getting dressed?
Usually I just throw on whatever is clean and matches. I am pretty low maintence when it comes to clothes usually.
16. How often do you change your handbag?
Every couple of weeks, I have a couple favorites and I like to try and keep with the seasons. I generally use darker bags in the fall and winter while my brighter bags make their apperance in the summer and spring months.
17. What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
It varies, but in general I am a night owl so I stay up late and sleep in late.
18. How often or when do you workout?
Let's just not talk about that. I have good intentions... does that count for anything? I guess I just havent found something that I really enjoy.
19. Left handed or right handed?
Right handed.
20. How tall are you?
I am 5'5".
21. Do you speak any foreign languages?
Not really, unless you consider my Tex-Mex spanglish a foreign language. I know enough to get me by, but I could not carry any lengthy conversation.
22. How many pets do you have?
Just my families little princess Zoe Bow. She is a spoiled brat but we love her.
23. How often are you on Blogger?
Initially I was posting about 2-3 times a month but now I am posting everyday, I would like to keep up with posting atleast once a week after BLOG-Cember.
24. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
Yep, I am really bad at just lurking and not actually contributing even when I have something to say. I just hate that so many blogs have different accounts that you must log in to in order to comment on them.
25. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
Yep, I have my monthly wish lists as well as a running list that I have in a little notebook that I keep in my purse.
26. How did you come up with your blog name?
I am a proud Texan and love makeup and beauty.
27. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
I use my iPhone 6+ lately but I also own a Nikon J1 that I use for some of my photographs.
28. What's your favorite color?
It changes, but lately I have been really fond of purple shades. I am particularly taken with Radiant Orchid.
29. Do you swear?
Fuck yes! I cuss like a sailor, if you have read any of my previous posts I'm sure you already knew that.
30. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
I am probably going to finish up a written test for one of my online classes and then read for another class. Maybe work on some blog posts ahead of time for the rest of the week.
