March 2014 Wish List

I am cutting it close this month with my Wish List, partially because I have been busy and partially because I just have not been overly excited about things that I haven't already mentioned... but we all know that I always want something so there was still enough to make a list of stuffs I won't get because I am not a millionaire.

1. La Prairie Midnight Rain

So everyone is probably going to think I am batshit, one because this perfume is $135 for a 1.7 oz bottle and two because of the reason I found out about this. I should preface this by saying I have never actually smelled the fragrance but from the descriptions of the scents used I have a feeling I would love it. Now on to my story about how I discovered this. My local snow cone shop SnoBall has a flavor called Orchid Cream Vanilla and it is basically the shit, it has a creamy flavor and is a beautiful orchid color. So one day I was googling what exactly the flavors are in this syrup (ex: Tigers Blood is strawberry and coconut) well I never found my answer to that question but I did come across this fragrance because one of the scents used in it is Vanilla Orchid. After seeing the gorgeous bottle and reading reviews I decided I need this in my life, and then I saw the cost.
Can be purchased here.

UniVoxBox from Influenster

I am really on it with the cheap/free products lately. Today I got this box in the mail and it makes me super happy, despite having a headache from hell.

This is the UniVoxBox from Influenster. In case you are not familiar with Influenster and their VoxBox program allow me to explain. So first set is to sign up, you can do so either by going to the website or by invitation (leave your e-mail and I can invite you) which helps the person you invited get more points(I'll explain in a moment). So then you fill out these little surveys about what interests you for these things called Expert Badges, and these badges help Influenster determine which boxes to send you. There are also many ways to get points, the easiest way is after you are sent a box there are tasks for you to complete(surveys, reviews, posting on social media about the products you recieved) and once you complete them your rank goes up, which just means that you are super active on the site and you will get more awesome free stuff! Who doesnt love free shit, am I right?
So more on this box specifically, this one is geared towards us ladies and specifically those of us in college. This box includes

Target Beauty Box

So I totally meant to get this post up about 4 days ago when I got this in the mail, but I had things going on. Today I am feeling a little under the weather and since I have been on the couch on doing nothing but browsing 9gag and feeling pathetic over my failed attempt to get croissants and frozen yogurt from Sam's Club, so why not be a little more productive and write this before it is lost in the land of potential blog posts that I intend to write.
Target use to have these awesome little sample filled makeup bags that they would send you for free if you were lucky enough to get signed up in time, well they did away with those but in its place they introduced this new product which is only $5 plus tax(shipped for free) and includes 5 full sized/deluxe sample sized products. Unfortunately this time they are sold out, but if this comes back again I will post before they are gone.

February 2014 Ipsy Bag

I have been subscribed to this service since the very beginning, the reason I went with this one instead of Birchbox which was the only other one available at the time, was because this bag offered more makeup products and fewer hair products. I figured if I was going to spend the money I wanted to be more likely to get products I would actually use, some of the products are still passed off to family members but a large portion of what I have gotten over the past two years have remained in my possession, a couple have even been repurchased. If you don't already subscribe to a beauty sample program I HIGHLY suggest Ipsy. On to this past months bag...

February Favorites

Once again I am later than I originally anticipated on getting this post up, but one of my best friends had her little boy on Monday then I had a paper that I had to write before Tuesday. Yesterday was Ash Wednesday and I decided to go to church (GASP! I am still alive but I did get a little hot) and somehow I am getting this up today even with my Forensic Psychology exam and GSA meeting later tonight.(You probably don't care and I actually probably wont post this until after I get home from all my stuff tonight, but I am quite impressed with everything I have gotten done the past two weeks)
Thank sweet liddo baby Jesus that today is my last day of class before Spring Break, I plan on a mini hibernation and having fun with family before I hit the books again. Somewhere in that mix I should have a bunch of new posts up that have been half written/ completed for about a month now but I jut haven't had time to take pictures and correct spelling/grammar. Blah Blah Blah Courtney just get on with the good shit....

Face Products:
Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream - Let me preface this by saying I am pretty much in love with the ENTIRE Fresh Effects line of products. I got this gem at Big Lots on sale for $5 and hand a coupon so I only paid like $2.50 for this and boy am I happy I grabbed it, I have used my fair share of BB creams and so far my favorites have always been the Korean ones, these American BB creams just are not as good, but this stuff is pretty awesome, the coverage is really light but I have actually been digging that. The scent is fucking lovely... like seriously I want to smell like this all the time but it doesn't really last on the skin so if you are not into that kinda thing don't worry it fades like as soon as you put it on. (Dear Olay make me a perfume that smells like this stuff and I will throw my wallet at you real quick.)
e.l.f. Maximum Coverage Concealer - While I really like this concealer the name is a bit decieving, I wouldnt call this a MAX Coverage concealer but it does do a great job both under the eyes and on problem areas. It is creamy without being thick and it dries down to a nice finish so it doesn't collect in lines/pores. Me gusta!
Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser - I am not going to say anything about this just yet because I will be posting a review/comparison of this product very soon. Just know I liked it enough to wear it just about every day since I opened.
