February Favorites

Once again I am later than I originally anticipated on getting this post up, but one of my best friends had her little boy on Monday then I had a paper that I had to write before Tuesday. Yesterday was Ash Wednesday and I decided to go to church (GASP! I am still alive but I did get a little hot) and somehow I am getting this up today even with my Forensic Psychology exam and GSA meeting later tonight.(You probably don't care and I actually probably wont post this until after I get home from all my stuff tonight, but I am quite impressed with everything I have gotten done the past two weeks)
Thank sweet liddo baby Jesus that today is my last day of class before Spring Break, I plan on a mini hibernation and having fun with family before I hit the books again. Somewhere in that mix I should have a bunch of new posts up that have been half written/ completed for about a month now but I jut haven't had time to take pictures and correct spelling/grammar. Blah Blah Blah Courtney just get on with the good shit....

Face Products:
Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream - Let me preface this by saying I am pretty much in love with the ENTIRE Fresh Effects line of products. I got this gem at Big Lots on sale for $5 and hand a coupon so I only paid like $2.50 for this and boy am I happy I grabbed it, I have used my fair share of BB creams and so far my favorites have always been the Korean ones, these American BB creams just are not as good, but this stuff is pretty awesome, the coverage is really light but I have actually been digging that. The scent is fucking lovely... like seriously I want to smell like this all the time but it doesn't really last on the skin so if you are not into that kinda thing don't worry it fades like as soon as you put it on. (Dear Olay make me a perfume that smells like this stuff and I will throw my wallet at you real quick.)
e.l.f. Maximum Coverage Concealer - While I really like this concealer the name is a bit decieving, I wouldnt call this a MAX Coverage concealer but it does do a great job both under the eyes and on problem areas. It is creamy without being thick and it dries down to a nice finish so it doesn't collect in lines/pores. Me gusta!
Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser - I am not going to say anything about this just yet because I will be posting a review/comparison of this product very soon. Just know I liked it enough to wear it just about every day since I opened.

Face Color Products:
Revlon Photo Ready Cream Blush in Pinched - I am not usually a fan of cream blushes because they tend to stay creamy and wind up melting down my face or looking spotty. No me gusta. This formula is awesome though, it starts out firmer than most cream blushes and it dries down to almost a powder finish so I don't have the melty face problem. Me gusta. This color is very light and just enough for the days when I am not down to put on full cake face.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer -  I wanted this originally just because it smells like hot chocolate and who wouldn't want their face to smell like hot chocolate? (I know I am probably the only one, I like food get over it) This has turned out to be a holy grail product, I love my hoola but this is the best bronzer for contouring. I will be purchasing another if I ever run out (I feel like no matter how much I use it the pan is still full)
Color City Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon - This was in my February Ipsy bag, I will have a post about my Ipsy bag soon so Im not going to say much about this just yet.

Eyeshadows:
Too Faced Sexpresso/Peach Fuzz Duo - I love this duo but sometimes I forget how much, Peach Fuzz is my shit lately, a little eye primer Peach Fuzz all over, liner and mascara and Im done. Sexpresso is great also but really isn't anything special, it is a good staple matte brown shadow. Together the two can make a nice easy smokey eye.
e.l.f. Baked Eyeshadow in Enchanted - I am not usually a fan of the "baked" products from any brand but I have been on the look out for a good rose gold eyeshadow. I am still looking for the perfect shade, but this is still very beautiful. I like it best when it is used wet as it applies more like a metallic shadow but dry it gives a nice natural peachy golden shade. This is another one that is good for a one shadow all over look.
MAC Eyeshadow in Vex - Not much to say about this since everyone knows how amazing it is, but I really like this on the lid with a black or dark gray in the crease for a daytime smokey look. Vex is really just a must-have MAC shade so go buy it right now.

Eye Products:
Marbella Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Black - I got this in an Ipsy bag a couple months back. I had misplaced it and recently found it so I am trying to finish it up before it dries out. This is not my all-time favorite liquid liner but I am a fan of the marker tip on this one, it isn't too big but isn't too small either. Liner pens are just so much easier to maneuver than those stupid brushes... ya feel me?
Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Cat Eyes Mascara - This mascara is nice for a natural everyday application. It wont give you big huge in ya face lashes but it does a nice job of curling, separating, lifting, and volumizing. (Kinda sounds like a good bra) I dig it for only $5
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero - The holy grail black pencil liner. I have been into a dark water/tightline lately. I'll just keep this one simple, no explanation should really be needed anyways.

Lip Products:
Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate Lipstick in #10 - This is a beautiful red lipstick, I am a sucker for reds of all kinds. It is opaque and mix between a matte and creme formula. Red lipstick is red lipstick, again there isn't much explanation needed here right?
Mica Beauty Tinted Lip Balm in #5 Natural - Another Ipsy product, this one is more like a lip balm than the Cailyn one I love so much but it still packs a punch in the color area. This is as opaque as a lipstick but has a formula similar to a lip balm with a glossy finish. Me gusta, this color is awesome, on me it is definitely a "My Lips But Better" shade.
L'oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Merino Mauve 184 - I have read reviews from tons of people who are not really fans of this formula but I personally really like it. These remind me of  Revlon Lip Butters they are definitely not opaque lipsticks but they are smooth and glossy and give a nice light tint to the lips. This specific shade is my every day light nude pink shade.

Brushes:
Mark Travel Powder Brush - I really love this brush for applying blush, if I could get this exact same brush with a longer handle it would be even better. It is the perfect density to pick up my blush and blend it out without making it disappear or applying so much that I look like a clown.
Sephora Slanted Blush Brush - Say hello to my holy grail contouring brush. Sorry if you don't have one cause it is discontinued.
Eco Tools Fan Brush - This brush is awesome for cleaning up eyeshadow fallout and even better for lightly applying highlighter.

Nails:
Formula X for Sephora in White Matter - I have never been one to wear a creme white polish all over my nails, until I tried this with the Formula X glitter that I will get to in a minute. I really loved how bright yet classy it was. This will be a go-to combo for me this spring and summer for sure. It took 3 coats to get a good opaque finish and might have even been ok with a 4th but that isn't unusual for a white polish from my experience.
Formula X for Sephora in Meteoric - This is one a beautiful glitter, there are multiple sizes and shapes of black and white flecks with a fine holographic glitter thrown in the mix suspended in a clear base which is perfect for layering on top of another polish. This is on the sheer side for a glitter, it takes a little fishing around to get a good layer of glitter all over the nail. If I didn't like this polish as much as I do then I probably wouldn't bother with fussing over it, but it is just so pretty on.
China Glaze in Seahorsin' Around - I will start by saying this color is stunning, BUT I hate the formula with a passion. This is a textured polish and I didn't pay any attention to the display when I bought this one and another color from the Sea Goddess collection. However this isn't anything that a couple extra layers of top coat cant fix. This was on my toes all month (Remember I'm in Texas and I was able to wear sandals for about half the month).

Other Beauty:
Mystic Divine Creations Shaping Hairspray - I have been on the search for the perfect hairspray and I believe this just might be Mr.Right. This is lightweight yet holds my flyaways without the crunch of most hairsprays. I totally bought this because the can is super cute and it smelled amazing. I am glad I bought it now!
Mystic Divine Creations Thermal Finishing Spray - So another product I have been looking to replace is my favorite Kenra Finishing Spray, at $17-20 a pop I couldn't afford that on my college budget. This is another great replacement because it does all the things I love about the Kenra one, heat protectant, shine, and smells good (scent is a key factor in new products for me in case you didn't notice). I will repurchase when I am out since I can afford it since it is only like $6 at Sally's and it comes in a pretty big can.
ion Leave-In Conditioner - Another Sally's Beauty product to replace an old favorite, I use to love the John Freida Leave-In Conditioning Spray but they changed the formula and I am pretty sure they decreased the amount in the bottle all while raising the price so I just wasn't a fan anymore. This bottle is a travel size that I got for free when I renewed my Sally's card but I also have a big bottle of this because I love it so much and this one is almost gone.

Non-Beauty:
Michael Kors Wristlet - I got this about 2 years ago for my birthday from my awesome grandparents along with the matching purse, I have pulled it back out again and really enjoyed using it since I can put my essentials (iPhone, debit card, id, and cash) and go , or I can toss it in my purse.
Consuela Look Alike Purse - This was a Christmas present from my mom this past year, I really love this style of purse, it is big enough for me to put my laptop and a couple notebooks or textbooks along with all my usual purse junk when I don't feel like taking my big backpack to class or to the library to study. It is also nice for shopping, I can toss all my little bags in here rather than carry a million bags and a purse. Thanks again mom I really love this bag!
Target Office Supplies - If you ask anyone who knows me they will tell you I have a problem when it comes to paper, pens, and pencils. I am kinda a hoarder, but these are so cute and since they were in the dollar sections and my Cartwheel app got me a discount I couldn't pass them up. I was in need of more page flags, since I couldn't find the other ones I had and then the gel pens were calling for me when I thought they were going to be pastels but they turned out to write in neon(bummer but they are still cute, and one can never have enough neon pink gel pens in their life).  I also finally bought my first rolls of washi tape, lets hope this isn't another obsession!

Music:
"Oh, Hell" by SoMo - I am still totally in love with SoMo, he is sexy and his music is even sexier. I got to see him in concert again this month and was in love. It is so cool that he is getting so popular and I started listening to him before all the fame, I am happy for all that he is accomplishing. Cant wait till the new album comes out!
"Talk Dirty" by Jason Derulo - This song is very catchy, I really like it right now, hopefully radio stations wont over play it to the point that I cant stand it.
"In Those Jeans" by Ginuwine - SoMo has a cover of "Pony" which is super sexy and it got me thinking about some other old school music, which is why I have been into listening to the Ginuwine stations on the iTunes Radio lately, this is definitely a favorite.

Apps:
Snapchat - I have had this app for awhile but until recently I wasn't really into the app, like most social media apps I have a small group of friends but if anyone wants to add me and send me funny pictures I would gladly accept. My username is courtneychaos24 (I should stop using my embarrassing middle school email for usernames but I cant think of anything creative anymore)
Starbucks - I got some giftcard's for Christmas and have been super into trying to reach Gold Level before the end of the year, I also like the app because I don't have to actually go to a Starbucks in order to get my free music and apps (Im cheap). Again if anyone wants to donate to my iced coffee/cotton candy frapp funds it would be much appreciated!
Bloglovin - If you are not already using this either on your phone or on the computer you need to start ASAP, it is awesome for keeping up with all your favorite blogs (this one included) in one place. I don't have to go to each individual blog in order to get my fix, I can get my NouveauCheap and Kandee Johnson fix in one place!! It doesn't get much better than that. If you are already using this or plan on joining please follow me!!!

P.S. I realized when I was taking pictures that I forgot to bring some of the items with me (I am home visiting for Spring Break) so I will try to get around to taking pictures as soon as I can. Also my brushes were pretty dirty and need to be washed so those pictures will also be delayed. I am terrible at this beauty blogging thing huh? Oh well it makes me happy.

P.S.S. I also didn't get this posted when I intended while writing the into but I really didn't want to rewrite that so again suck it up and deal with it!
